Whale (touch screen) panel The whale system works by heating up air and blowing it around the vehicle. Bit like a big hair-dryer. It also heats up water like a kettle. It does take about half an hour for the water to get hot though so be patient. Below I have described what each icon on the screen does. If you happen to go into the settings DO NOT change anything in the engineer options. Basically the  icons to the 3/4 right © Art By Paul 2000-2018    The 3  icons here set the amount of electricity the heating will use to work. The top wavy line is 1KW, the 2 wavy lines are 2KWs and the 3 wavy lines mean 3KWs. Most UK sites will work on the 2KW (5.7 amp). This sets the room temperature. Simply tap the + or - icons to adjust the temperature. If you wish to use gas to heat the vehicle, tap this icon. It will turn either green or red to indicate it is active. Normally green. This icon means you can use 2KWs (8 amps) and some gas together in order to heat (boost) the vehicle quicker. This activates a cool air circulation fan. It basically blows cool air. Its Not air conditioning though. This activates a frost protection system. Basically if the vehicle gets colder than 6c it turn the heating on to protect the boiler etc. To use this feature you MUST be connected to the mains and switched on. Or have the gas switched on. The heating The hot water Press the tap button to enter the hot water options. You will then see the following icons shown below (left). This is the ECO mode. Or to put it another way, it heats the water to about 50c. Most people opt for this setting. This will heat the water to around 70c. Useful for a shower, but a tad hot if you just need to wash some plates etc. This activates a frost protection system. Basically if the boiler gets colder than 6c it turn the boiler on to protect the boiler etc. It will (as a rule) just slightly warm the water. To use this feature you MUST be connected to the mains and switched on. Or have the gas switched on. This switches on a hot water booster. By default it runs for 15 minutes then goes back to the eco mode.  You can use either electric or gas. And even both together. You can adjust the length of time in the USER options Finally, this button takes you back to the home screen. Or if you press and hold it will bring up the setting screen. Whale
